The Tropical Doll Study Club of Lakeland, Florida was founded by Jeanne Niswonger in 1977.
Meetings are held on the first Sunday of the month at Saint David's Church on Edgewood Drive in Lakeland, September through May.
As a Chapter of Region 9 of the United Federation of Doll Clubs, Inc, the club is active in support for various charities.
The highlight of each meeting is the program presented by members or an invited special guest.
Each year we choose a theme and design some of our programs around it.

This year's Show will feature a very special drawing for a Bride Doll and her wardrobe, accesories, and armoire. This drawing is in addition to our usual wonderful "helpers" drawings. The doll is an 18" hard vinyl Effanbee "Lauren Bride Doll". She is a reproduction of an original American Child Doll, one of which was featued on the Classic American Doll Stamp series of 1996.Thus she appeals to not only adults but to young collectors as well. The doll and the outfits and accessories were donated or sewn by members. The monies from all drawings go to support our charitable outreach.
The show is open from 10am 'til 4pm. The entry is $4 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under.
The drawings for the Bride Doll and other helpers will take place at 3:00 pm.
You do not have to be present to win. Click here for a Show Flyer for more details.
